Personal Data Protection

At the Knjižnice.si Slovenian Public Libraries Portal (“Knjižnice.si portal”), we care about the privacy of the people who use our website. We will only collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us.
We undertake to treat the personal data with due care and respect in accordance with the legislation (Personal Data Protection Act and the General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR).

You can contact us by emailing portal.knjiznice.si@mb.sik.si and request any personal information that we hold about you. You also have the right to ask that we update, complete or correct your information, to restrict or erase your information or to object to our using your information.

Information collected during the registration process

  • email address (mandatory)
  • username and password (set by yourself)

Registered users can participate in the forums. However, their full names, which can be a part of their user profiles, are not used by the portal for its own purposes.

How we use your email address

The Knjižnice.si portal will use your email address to send you the following important notices:

  • notifications that you have opted in to receive (for example, if there is a new forum post or announcement, you will receive an email);
  • service-related messages that are necessary to keep in touch with you (for example, resetting a forgotten password).
