Knjižnice.si is the portal of Slovenian public libraries, which brings together all information about their services and activities. The portal aims to provide the domestic and foreign public with comprehensive information about the Slovenian public library system. It supports the activities and development of Slovenian librarianship with expert knowledge and increases the visibility of public libraries in the virtual world.
In 2019, the portal was launched by a number of librarians from the regional libraries of Maribor, Celje, Koper and Ljubljana with financial support from the Ministry of Culture and within the framework of the Slovenian Public Libraries Association.
The portal is managed by the Maribor Public Library in cooperation with the Slovenian Public Libraries Association and the regional libraries.
